Who can rent
A reservation is in the name of the driver who signs the rental agreement and presents the card.
- Minimum age
- 25. Drivers 21 to 24 may rent by adding the required additional coverage at checkout.
- License
- A valid driver’s license in the renter’s name, presented at handoff. [Confirm: international driving permit if the license is not in English.]
- Payment
- Credit or debit card only, in the renter’s name. Cash is not accepted for the rental or the deposit.
Security deposit
The deposit is a hold on your card, not a charge. It covers fuel, tolls, cleaning or damage not covered by insurance.
- Amount
- $500 per rental.
- When
- Placed at pickup on the card used for the booking.
- Release
- Released after the vehicle is returned and checked. [Confirm: number of business days until the hold drops off the card.]
Coverage & insurance
Choose one of three options at checkout. Your choice is recorded on the rental agreement.
- Own policy
- Decline our coverage and enter your insurance company and policy number. You are fully responsible for damage to or theft of the vehicle and for any third-party claims. Your personal policy or credit card may not fully cover this rental; check with your provider.
- Renter’s Collision Protection, $35/day
- $1,000 deductible. Pays collision damage to the rented vehicle up to $20,000.
- Renter’s Collision Protection, $59/day
- $500 deductible. Pays collision damage to the rented vehicle up to $35,000.
- Conditions
- Coverage applies as long as no authorized driver violates the rental contract. It is non-refundable once purchased, even if the vehicle is returned early. Any damage must be reported to the police and an incident report filed; the renter is responsible for doing so.
Fuel
Vehicles are handed over with a recorded fuel level.
- Standard
- Return the vehicle at the same fuel level you received it. A shortfall is charged from the deposit at the prevailing rate.
- Prepaid tank
- $99 for a full refill of up to 20 gallons, selected at checkout. Return the vehicle at any level.
Mileage
Mileage is included and scales with the length of the rental.
- Included
- 600 miles on a 3-day rental. [Confirm the per-day allowance and the rate per additional mile.]
Cleaning
Return the vehicle reasonably clean and you pay nothing beyond the standard price.
- Normal wear & tear
- $40 basic cleaning, part of the standard price where applicable. [Confirm whether it is itemized on every rental.]
- Excessive sand, dirt or mud
- $65, charged from the deposit.
Smoking
The fleet is 100% smoke-free in every location.
- Not allowed
- Cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaping and recreational drugs of any kind, in every vehicle.

Cancellations & changes
Plans change; the policy is simple.
- Until 7 days before pickup
- Full refund.
- 7 days to the pickup day
- One day’s rate is kept; the rest is refunded.
- No-show or no-call
- No refund.
- Date changes
- Free at any time, subject to availability of the same vehicle.
Damage & incidents
We photograph the vehicle together at pickup and at return.
- At return
- Any new damage is documented with photos and noted on the agreement.
- Claims
- Investigated and charged to the renter unless Renter’s Collision Protection was purchased, subject to its deductible and limit.
- Accidents
- Call the police, file a report and call us. Late returns caused by an incident are handled case by case.
Delivery & pickup fees
Delivery is how every BEXT rental starts; the fee depends on where.
- Fort Lauderdale (FLL airport, hotels)
- Included.
- Miami (MIA airport, hotels)
- $100 per rental.
- Cruise ports
- PortMiami follows the Miami fee; Port Everglades follows the Fort Lauderdale fee. [Confirm.]
- Hotels and addresses
- [Confirm delivery zones and any surcharge outside them.]
Taxes & fees
Every line is itemized in the checkout before you pay.
- Sales tax & fees
- 12% of the rental subtotal.
- Florida surcharge
- $15 per rental.
- Highway recovery fee
- About $2.67 per day ($8.01 on a 3-day rental).
Privacy & communications
What we keep and how we use it.
- Data collected
- Name, phone, email, IP address and device identifier, plus how you use the site and our ads.
- Shared with
- The reservation system, payment processor, email and SMS providers, hosting, analytics and ad networks. We do not sell personal information.
